Welcome to Neah Bay Elementary! Our School Counseling Program supports students and families by promoting academic success, positive behavior, and social-emotional growth. We work in partnership with parents, teachers, and staff to help every student thrive.
Counseling Services for Students
Individual Support
Short-term counseling for concerns such as:
- School adjustment and transitions
- Friendship or peer conflicts
- Emotional regulation and coping skills
- Worry, stress, or mild anxiety
Small Group Counseling
Skill-building groups may focus on:
- Social skills and friendships
- Managing emotions
- Confidence and self-esteem
Classroom Lessons
Counselors provide classroom guidance in areas such as:
- Social-emotional learning
- Kindness, respect, and empathy
- Bullying prevention
- Problem-solving and goal-setting
Support for Parents & Families
Our school counselor is available to:
- Consult with parents about student concerns
- Share strategies to support children at home
- Connect families with school and community resources
Section 504 Plans
A Section 504 Plan provides accommodations for students with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity (such as learning or attention). Parents may request a 504 evaluation and participate in all meetings. The school counselor can help guide families through the process.
